Hearing Loops

A hearing loop is a wire that circles a room and is connected to a sound system. The loop transmits the sound electromagnetically. The signal is then picked up a tiny receiver in the hearing aid called a telecoil, or T-Coil.

To use a hearing loop, you flip on the T-Switch or change to the T-Coil program in your hearing aid or cochlear implant. This activates the coil and no additional receiver is needed. Your hearing aids or implants are now able to become wireless headsets for all sound that is traveling through the sound system. You hear speech more clearly than you ever imagined.

Nearly every hearing aid we sell is equipped with a telecoil (T-Coil) for use on the telephone and in venues outfitted with Hearing Loops. Our offices are equipped with hearing loops and demonstrations are available. We sell many types of personal looping equipment in the office. For more information on hearing loops in your home or larger venues, go to www.americanhearingloop.com or www.hearingloop.org.
